Zimbabwe’s Sharon Tavengwa won the women’s race at the Nedbank Cape Town City marathon for the second year in a row.
Former South Africa champion George Mofokeng bounced back to win the Nedbank Cape Town City Marathon on Sunday.

Kenya’s Kenneth Mungura clocked the fastest marathon time ever on Canadian soil to retain his crown at the Scotiabank Toronto Marathon in a course record of 2 hours 8 minutes and 31 seconds (2:08:31) on Sunday.
Ethiopian Chala Lemi (2:08:48) was second. His third placed countryman Gashew Asfaw(2:09.03) was also inside the old course record of 2:09:30.
