Eric Milazar or Mauritius and Kenyan Job Kinyor were Africa’s top performers at the Pergine Internationals meet in Italy on Saturday (10 July).
Milazar won the 400m in 47.10 seconds. While Kinyor was first across the finish line in the 800m in a time of 1:46.03

Ethiopia’s Sofia Assefa and Eunice Sun of Kenya were in winning form at the Barcelona International Athletics meet on Friday (09 July).
Competing at the venue for next week’s European Championships, Assefa prevailed in the women’s 3000m steeplechase in 9:26.04. Sum was first in the 800m in 2:02.26
