Mark Muga Ouma 

Mark Muga Ouma was born in Kampala Uganda on Saturday 10 September 1960 to Joseph and Bernadette Ouma. He recieved formal primary and secondary school education in Sydney Australia, Kampala Uganda. In Kenya Ouma attended school in Mumias, Nairobi, and Kisumu before he majored in Philiosophy at Makerere University in Kampala Uganda. He begun lecturing in Advanced Logic at Makerere in October 1982. Besides Makerere (1982-1988) he lectured in Philosophy of Mind and Development Studies at Kenya’s Egerton University (1992-1995).

Since 1988 Ouma has doubled up as a freelance journalist. He has contributed to the print and electronic media in Uganda, Kenya, Britain, Monaco, France, United States and South Africa. A Kenyan citizen, Ouma is currently, based in Johannesburg South Africa, He is Sports Editor for “Daybreak Africa News” on Voice of America (VOA) English to Africa.  Since 1998 Ouma is a regular contributors to various publications of the International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF). He has been a member of the Uganda Sports Press Association (USPA) since 1990. Ouma is also a member of the International Sports Press Association (AIPS).

    Unfortunately I did not attend either the Solidarity event inOuagadougou or the est Africa championships inuganda.

    Sorry for taking so long to respond to you query. i am still learning alot about how this system works
